$40 per person; 10 person limit per workshop
Close in on that finished product for publication. Unlock your own editing eye. Prep your ponderings into an essay that will sell.
You have something written, but you don’t know if it’s ready to send out yet. You have the creative stuff down, but the nitpicky editorial stuff befuddles you. Don’t worry over it by yourself. Join your fellow writers at the Writer’s Center for feedback and professional editorial advice.
You will send in 10 double-spaced pages of your writing that you would like to focus on. The first 10-20 minutes of our session will be reflections relevant to all participants’ work. Then we’ll break up into 10-minute (semi-private) mini-consultations which will focus on each participant’s work from an editor’s perspective, with particular attention paid to structure, clarity, word choice, redundancies, and inconsistencies in narrative voice, as well as recurring grammar errors. Maximum enrollment: 10 participants. Pre-registration and 10 pages of writing provided one week prior to the workshop are required. Please contact Deb Heimann at firstname.lastname@example.org or 802-356-2082.
